YOUR ROLE
As an R&D Engineer at Deep BV, you will be at the forefront of innovation in subsea survey technology at a time when demand for reliable seabed insights is rapidly increasing.
With the global rise in renewable energy projects, the growing need for secure subsea infrastructure, and the expanding use of the ocean floor for cables, pipelines, and other installations, your work will directly support future-proof projects.
Your mission is to advance our cable & pipeline surveys and object detection for UXO identification. You will develop and refine in-house technologies, integrate off-the-shelf systems into custom solutions, and transform R&D ideas into practical tools that protect subsea assets, ensure safe and efficient project delivery and contribute to a more sustainable future.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Innovate for Impact: Lead and contribute to the development of in-house cable tracker and object detection technologies and survey solutions. You work closely with colleagues from survey and engineering to turn ideas into working prototypes and usable solutions.
Design, Test, Improve: Support the design, testing, and implementation of tools for accurate cable tracking and depth of burial (DoB) measurements. You analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and optimize methods for field deployment.
Bridge R&D and Operations: Collaborate with survey teams to implement new methods into real-world projects. You transform research findings into field-ready solutions that improve safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Think Ahead: Identify opportunities for innovation, apply emerging technologies to subsea challenges, and help shape Deep’s future technological strategy.
Deliver Value: Contribute to project assessments, helping clients avoid costly setbacks and ensuring long-term asset integrity.
