YOUR ROLE.
Are you driven to elevate safety, quality, and sustainability to new heights within the maritime sector? At Deep Hydrography & Geophysics, a leading provider of nearshore survey services, you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring safe and compliant operations—both onshore and offshore.
From mapping the Wadden Sea to international survey projects across Europe: every location presents unique challenges. In this dynamic role, you’ll hold a leadership position. You’ll work at a strategic level, but you’ll also influence daily practices. Together with the HSEQ Specialist and the project and fleet managers, you’ll be responsible for identifying, managing, and continuously improving risk mitigation. We don’t view safety as a checklist, but as a shared responsibility, where your proactive and creative approach makes all the difference.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING.
As HSEQ Manager, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety and quality standards throughout all project phases. You will supervise the HSEQ specialist and report to the Operations Director. Your responsibilities include:
Implementing the HSEQ system within projects and overseeing its execution
Further developing the HSEQ system through process standardization and translating laws and regulations into practical documentation
Investigating incidents, conducting root cause analyses, and advising on structural improvement measures.
Collaborating with project and fleet managers to ensure the safe execution of survey work
Conducting and supporting audits, risk analyses, and HSE inspections (onshore and offshore)
Managing and maintaining ISO certifications
Proactively identifying risks and improving safety standards, both in the office and on the job site, as well as on board ships
Actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in the areas of safety and quality
Coordinating and ensuring compliance with Dutch and international occupational health and safety, environmental, and maritime legislation
